Can I get a private health insurance rebate for Miedema Counselling?
Yes, I am a registered provider for private health insurance companies Medibank, HCF, Bupa, ARHG and AHM. Check with your insurance company if counselling is covered under your extras. You don’t need a GP referral to access your private health insurance rebate. Unfortunately, Medicare does not currently provide a rebate for counselling services.
How can I book an appointment?
Appointments can be made through the ‘Book an Appointment’ button on the contact page. Payment must be made before the scheduled appointment by bank transfer. You can make enquiries through the contact form or by email to info@miedemacounselling.com.au.
What can I expect in my first appointment?
In your first appointment we will explore your concerns and what you want to achieve from counselling. If we are a good fit, we will make an initial treatment plan which will identify ways in which we can work towards your treatment goals.
How long is a standard appointment?
Usually, appointments are 50 minutes. Longer appointments can be made in advance. Frequency of appointments will be discussed and set out in the treatment plan.
What are the Counselling fees?
Fees for individual counselling are $120 per standard session. Concession rates may be available in some cases.
What is your cancellation policy for appointments?
We ask that you provide at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. Late cancellations or missed appointments may incur a cancellation fee.
Is there parking available at Miedema Counselling?
Yes. Free parking is available at the Fremantle Arts Centre and paid parking at the Fremantle swimming pool.
